Vice President of Food and Nutrition Security

Job Summary
Facilitate the implementation of the countywide Hunger Relief Strategic Plan by convening advisory councils, mobilizing stakeholders, and building partnerships with food banks, schools, and private sector leaders. Lead the Hunger Relief team, manage grant compliance and resource mobilization, and track food insecurity metrics using 211 data and local systems. Prepare regular progress reports for funders and articulate successes and challenges to diverse audiences while advocating for favorable policy changes on SNAP, WIC, and the Farm Bill. Work with community representatives and government partners to execute priorities and drive shared outcomes across Palm Beach County. Assist with disaster response efforts as assigned during hurricane season.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience in human services, community planning, food systems (or comparable combination of education and experience)
- Experience working in a team environment, facilitating effective groups, developing collaboratives, and working with volunteers
- Experience with collective impact models and community driven efforts, including facilitation of community conversations
- Proven track record leading and working on high profile community projects with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to analyze data and develop innovative strategies to maximize results
- Excellent customer/client service relations
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
- Communication excellence - ability to translate complex issues into compelling narratives for different audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software
- Problem solving and strong decision-making capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and independently when necessary
- Must be able to work in a cubicle office space
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
