Vice President of Fabrication

Job Summary

Lead module fabrication strategy development and manage the supplier evaluation and selection process for outsourced fabrication activities. Qualify new fabricators, audit their QMS, and define effective scope of work packages to ensure seamless engineering handoffs. Monitor production progress against baseline schedules, track variances, and implement recovery plans while coordinating priorities with Project Management and Supply Chain. Provide executive-level reporting on schedule performance, conduct quarterly business reviews with partners, and identify risks early to develop mitigation strategies. Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests and promote a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the global fabrication supply chain.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in industrial fabrication, manufacturing, EPC construction, project management, or a related heavy industrial environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing fabrication activities, supplier performance, or manufacturing operations for complex industrial projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating third-party fabrication subcontractors or multiple fabrication facilities
  • Working knowledge of structural steel fabrication, pressure vessels, piping systems, mechanical assemblies, welding processes, and industrial manufacturing practices
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, fabrication specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), welding documentation, and quality records
  • Knowledge of fabrication quality standards, including inspection processes, material traceability, and turnover documentation
  • Understanding of project scheduling, fabrication sequencing, production planning, and critical path management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting EPC projects in the power generation, district energy, LNG, data center, industrial manufacturing, or process industries
  • Experience working with global module fabrication partners and international manufacturing operations
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, SAP, or equivalent)
  • Professional certifications such as: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, OSHA 30-Hour Construction or General Industry Certification, etc.
