Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of senior estimators while establishing standards for conceptual, detailed, and final bid estimates across major transportation markets. Participate in go/no-go decisions for major pursuits and develop competitive pricing strategies for complex civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, aviation facilities, and rail systems. Collaborate with operations to ensure constructability aligns with field execution and oversee project transitions after award. Present estimates to executive leadership and engage with business development teams to identify strategic opportunities. Based in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, this role requires 15+ years of heavy civil construction experience and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in heavy civil construction
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing estimating teams or departments
- Strong understanding of DOT procurement processes and public infrastructure bidding
- Experience with heavy civil estimating platforms such as HCSS HeavyBid or similar software
- Ability to evaluate risk, competitiveness, and project strategy at an executive level
- Strong collaboration skills working with operations, executive leadership, and business development
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or industry certifications
