Job Summary
Develop and execute a comprehensive equipment strategy aligned with Market Sector objectives, ensuring optimal deployment and lifecycle management of heavy and light assets. Lead strategic initiatives to modernize the fleet while evaluating return on investment to drive financial performance and operational efficiency. Establish protocols for service, maintenance, and repair across the division, overseeing vendor partnerships and procurement strategies for major equipment and financing. Manage annual budgets, prepare financial reports, and lead contract negotiations to maximize asset value and minimize costs. Oversee DOT and fleet safety programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Travel up to 60% to partner with job sites and onsite Field Equipment Managers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, construction management, finance, or related field
- 15+ years of experience in construction equipment management, including utilization, procurement, and maintenance from the owner side
- 5+ years in executive leadership at a construction company with revenues of $500MM+
- Proven strategic planning and financial analysis capabilities
- Strong leadership, organizational development, and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- High integrity, sound judgment, and a commitment to operational excellence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Ability to analyze financial and operational data to inform strategic decisions
- Travel up to 60% may be necessary when partnering with job sites and onsite Field Equipment Managers
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in finance preferred
- CEM or CESP certifications preferred
- Experience with equipment-related technology and innovation preferred
