Job Summary
Develop and execute the company's engineering strategy in alignment with corporate objectives while overseeing all engineering functions, including product design, process engineering, research & development, and new product development. Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering organization to establish standards, operating procedures, and performance expectations that foster accountability and continuous improvement. Partner closely with Manufacturing and Operations to improve design for manufacturability, implement engineering best practices, and drive innovation through automation, digital engineering, and AI-enabled workflows. Manage engineering budgets, staffing plans, and departmental KPIs while supporting acquisition activities and integrating engineering teams. Build scalable engineering processes to support long-term growth within a rapidly expanding, private equity-backed manufacturer serving mission-critical infrastructure markets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
- Ten or more years of progressive engineering leadership experience
- Executive-level leadership experience
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Manufacturing or engineered products environments experience
- Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
- Quality systems knowledge
- Engineering best practices knowledge
- Experience managing engineering budgets
- Experience managing capital projects
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives
- Proven ability to scale engineering organizations
