Job Summary
Lead and shape the aerospace engineering strategy from concept through design, manufacturing, integration, and testing. Mentor engineers and scientists to craft and scrutinize cutting-edge platforms, ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements, manage budgets, schedules, and risk, foster cross-functional collaboration, and serve as the company face at industry events and with patrons and government agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- leadership experience in guiding engineers and scientists
- experience with design, development, and execution of complex programs
- familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in aerospace
- budgeting, resource management, and scheduling
- excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities
