Job Summary
Senior nonprofit fundraising leader sought to own and drive Let’s Get Ready’s development strategy, steward major donors, and build a diversified revenue engine across individual, institutional, and corporate giving. The VP of Development will lead strategy development, donor cultivation, impact storytelling, campaign execution (including capital and endowment initiatives), and team leadership; partner with the CEO, board, and program/finance teams to scale a national fundraising program, ensure alignment with organizational priorities, and sustain long-term financial health. Responsibilities include setting annual and multi-year revenue goals, managing top-tier donor relationships, optimizing fundraising infrastructure and CRM usage (Salesforce or Raiser's Edge), and fostering a high-performing development team while communicating impact and ROI to funders. Requirements include a bachelor's degree or higher, 8+ years in nonprofit fundraising with leadership experience, and a proven track record of closing six- and seven-figure gifts; preferred experience includes national fundraising, education access networks, and scaling growth-stage organizations. Remote position with travel, preference for candidates in the Northeast (NY/CT/ME), and startup-friendly fundraising mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 8+ years in nonprofit fundraising, including leadership experience
- Demonstrated success cultivating and closing six- and seven-figure gifts
- Experience managing and growing major donor portfolios
- Strong track record of building or scaling a development function and a high-performing team
