Vice President of Compliance

Job Summary
Lead the organization’s compliance function for affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD, HOME, SAIL, BOND, SHIP, and NHTF), ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards. Develop and implement comprehensive policies and SOPs, oversee the setup and maintenance of compliance data and reporting in Yardi, monitor regulatory changes, conduct audits, manage reasonable accommodation requests, and prepare regulatory reports. Provide strategic oversight of compliance operations and reporting across the portfolio, collaborating with executive leadership and operations teams. Travel ~30% to properties within the portfolio; role primarily remote with strong organizational and communication requirements. Requires deep expertise in affordable housing compliance, Yardi systems, Fair Housing laws, and demonstrated leadership in regulatory programs, audits, and cross-department collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Real Estate, or related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in affordable housing compliance
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management role
- Licenses or Certifications: Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) or equivalent
