Job Summary
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across targeted markets including landfills, levees, and industrial facilities. Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, municipal agencies, and utility companies. Represent the company at industry events and coordinate with public affairs professionals to gain visibility into public projects. Partner with ownership to establish pursuit strategies and expand presence in emerging markets like data centers and power generation. Develop long-term strategic relationships to support sustained revenue growth across the Sun Belt and Southeast. Moderate travel requirement includes 1–2 overnight trips monthly, with increased travel expected initially.
Required Qualifications
- Significant business development, client development, or sales leadership experience within heavy civil construction, site development, earthwork, environmental services, infrastructure, or related markets
- Demonstrated success developing and converting opportunities within public and private construction sectors
- Strong network of relationships with owners, developers, contractors, municipalities, utilities, environmental firms, or related stakeholders
- Proven ability to operate independently and drive results with minimal oversight
- Experience building strategic partnerships and long-term client relationships
- Moderate travel requirement
- Typically 1–2 overnight trips per month
- Increased travel expected during the first several months while establishing and strengthening key relationships
Desired Qualifications
- Strong experience in Texas markets strongly preferred
- Familiarity with broader Sun Belt and Southeast markets, including: Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Georgia, South Carolina
- Understanding of heavy civil construction, mass excavation, landfill development, site development, environmental remediation, or related infrastructure sectors
