Vice President, Network Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer

Job Summary
Oversee the design, administration, and continual improvement of the organization's Compliance and Privacy programs across all healthcare partners in Vermont and northern New York. Safeguard the independence of these functions by reporting directly to the Network Board of Trustees Audit Committee, Senior Management, and the President/CEO. Directly supervise a team of 12, including Compliance and Privacy Officers, Managers, and Specialists, while collaborating with the General Counsel, Security Officer, and affiliate leadership to identify compliance needs and investigate issues. Serve as the primary contact with State and Federal agencies on regulatory matters. Requires a Juris Doctor or Master's degree, five to seven years of healthcare compliance experience, and management of complex organizational settings.
Required Qualifications
- Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in the field of health care compliance and privacy
- demonstrated management experience in a hospital/healthcare system
- Management experience working in complex organizational settings
- demonstrated ability to interact with and coordinate activities with various internal and external constituents
- Familiarity with health care reimbursement systems
- Familiarity with fraud and abuse laws
- Familiarity with patient privacy laws
- Experience in managing and resolving billing and health care regulatory compliance issues
- Experience in organizational ethics and corporate responsibility matters
