Job Summary
VP, Nearshore West Division role overseeing oil spill and emergency response operations across CA, OR, and WA; responsible for leadership of division personnel, budget management, regulatory/compliance adherence, customer relationships, and safety programs, with emphasis on developing and retaining talent, ensuring readiness, and coordinating across sites to deliver high-quality spill response services. Requires extensive experience in oil spill or emergency response, strong leadership and budget-management capabilities, and ability to navigate regulatory requirements; base locations include Everett, WA or Concord/Long Beach, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (environmental, business, or related discipline) preferred
- Fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in oil spill or emergency response
- proven personnel management, leadership, and project management skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience with oil spill management, customer and regulatory requirements, and safety practices and protocols
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage, motivate, and develop employees
- Fiscal responsibility and budget management skills
- Strong organizational skills and accountability
- Competent written and oral communication across all levels
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop senior managers
- Regulatory compliance and ability to manage contractor networks
- Division- and site-level safety program understanding and execution
