Job Summary
Lead structuring, modification, and renewal of complex loans and industry-specific solutions for professional sports clients by analyzing financials, presenting to clients, and coordinating with internal stakeholders. Review the full suite of Wells Fargo solutions to meet complex needs, engaging product organizations to develop client-specific strategies while leveraging deep understanding of client businesses and financial positions. Make decisions in multi-faceted situations requiring adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to drive new initiatives and achieve business objectives. Strategically collaborate with peers and senior managers to resolve client issues, navigate internal processes, and recommend process improvements and risk control enhancements. Cultivate relationships to source new clients in coordination with senior coverage bankers, maintaining strict sales and pipeline disciplines through current information in Customer Relationship Management systems.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Mid-Corporate Relationship Management or Portfolio Management experience
- Equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Successfully completed FINRA Series 63 and Series 79 exam to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) for ongoing employment
- Obtaining FINRA Series 63 and Series 79, or equivalent must be completed within 180-days of date of hire if not immediately available to transfer upon hire
- Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire
- Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and accountability
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal partners
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related business degree
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Intermediate knowledge and understanding of core commercial banking and investment products: deposits, commercial credit, and treasury
- Prior experience financing professional sports businesses
- Experience with underwriting complex credit and debt structure
- Foundational ability to interpret financial statements, summarize findings and structure credit transactions
- Experience working with financial modeling
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
