Job Summary
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and media strategies that advance the mission of New York City Tourism + Conventions. Partner with the Chief Marketing Officer to establish strategic priorities, oversee departmental budgets including forecasting and agency spend, and manage high-level relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. Lead the Marketing & Media team by providing day-to-day guidance, mentoring staff, and driving collaboration across disciplines such as digital, creative, and analytics. Own the division's strategy and goals with a high degree of autonomy while preparing executive-level presentations for senior leadership. Monitor performance metrics to optimize campaigns and return on investment, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, media, and/or consumer promotions
- Previous experience working closely with C-suite executives or senior leadership teams
- Demonstrated success developing and executing integrated marketing and media strategies
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence, motivate, and collaborate with individuals at all levels of an organization
- Strong executive presence, with the credibility and polish to represent the organization confidently with senior leadership, board members, and external partners
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex strategies and ideas clearly and effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information, identify opportunities, and drive informed decision-making
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate independently with sound judgment, strong business acumen, and exceptional discretion
- Proven track record owning high-impact operations such as budget management, vendor/agency relationships, and critical departmental workflows
- Skilled at managing up, proven strategic input that shapes decision-making and guides the organizational strategy at the senior leadership level

- Must be able to work a Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in-office (Tues/Wed required + 1 flex day); Fridays remote
- Must be able to work extended Winter Break
