Job Summary
Vice President of Manufacturing Operations leading multi-site aerospace/defense manufacturing. Responsible for full P&L accountability, operational excellence, production performance, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance. Drives strategic growth, identifies market opportunities, and collaborates with engineering, sales, and program management to accelerate innovation and delivery. Builds high-performing, geographically dispersed teams, fosters accountability and organizational capability, and delivers data-driven performance with rigorous forecasting. Requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (MBA preferred), 20+ years of senior manufacturing leadership, Lean/Six Sigma expertise, and extensive experience in highly regulated, quality-driven production environments. Onsite role with regular travel between manufacturing sites; relocation support available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing background required
- Minimum 20 years of progressive leadership in manufacturing operations with full P&L responsibility
- Strong financial, analytical and strategic mindset
- Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience managing multi-site operations and diverse product portfolios
- Proven track record of producing operational excellence and regulatory compliance
- MBA or equivalent business education preferred
