Job Summary
Lead the Major Gifts team through coaching, performance management, and professional development while maintaining a prospect portfolio for personalized solicitation and stewardship plans. Directly solicit major and leadership gifts, secure transformational funding, and drive the chapter's Constellation Society strategies to accelerate revenue growth. Partner with the President & CEO, Governing Board, and key stakeholders to establish annual goals, implement the Strategic Plan, and align advancement efforts with Make-A-Wish America's mission. Manage Salesforce tracking for accountability, oversee long-term board member strategies, and uphold high standards of ethics and professionalism in a complex fundraising environment. Requires flexible hours, up to 40% overnight travel, and a commitment to continuous learning within the Senior Leadership Team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of successful development/marketing or an equivalent of work experience
- Ability to work autonomously in a changing environment
- Experience with database systems such as Salesforce
- Strong fiscal knowledge
- data analysis ability
- Ability to effectively manage staff teams, leaders, and stakeholders
- Experience consolidating/enhancing infrastructure and administrative systems
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate work across different departments of the organization
- Experience with participatory, cooperative, program planning and execution
- Experience leading and working with donors, Boards of Directors, committees, and community volunteers
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong executive presence
- High degrees of customer service skills
- Position requires regular travel throughout the chapter
