Job Summary
Vice President of Labor Relations responsible for developing a top-tier labor relations function and strategy, advising HR/leadership on union matters in the U.S. and Mexico, guiding negotiations and compliance with union contracts, and leading a team to address disciplinary and grievance issues. The role encompasses staying current on collective bargaining trends, implementing union-awareness programs, managing high-profile grievance procedures, and collaborating across sites to ensure positive employee relations. Travel ~50% with potential remote work within the US and base location at an Eaton US location or Beachwood, OH HQ, reporting to the VP of Employee Relations, Labor Relations and HR Functional Excellence. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and JD focusing on Labor Law; international labor relations experience is highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum twelve (12) years of progressive experience in Human Resources/Labor Relations, leading labor relations strategies for a company or $1B+ revenue business unit.
- Extensive end-to-end union negotiations experience, including collective bargaining agreements and employee relations
