Job Summary
Lead the development and ongoing refinement of the Life Insurance General Account portfolio strategy, translating liability profiles, product economics, liquidity needs, and capital objectives into strategic and tactical portfolio decisions; oversee portfolio positioning across fixed income, alternatives, and structured assets with attention to regulatory constraints and capital efficiency; provide senior leadership with actionable insights, board-ready materials, and thought leadership on insurance investing, ALM evolution, and risk management; mentor investment professionals and foster a collaborative, cross-functional approach with actuarial, finance, and risk management partners.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ yrs of progressive experience in insurance investments, portfolio management, ALM, or investment strategy
- Deep understanding of fixed income markets
- Experience within U.S. statutory and/or Bermuda regulatory frameworks (capital and accounting considerations)
- Proven ability to synthesize complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior decision-makers
- Strong executive communication skills in a high-visibility leadership role
- Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline
- Advanced professional designations strongly preferred (CFA, FSA/ASA)
- Experience partnering with actuarial, pricing, and finance teams on ALM and capital optimization
- Familiarity with portfolio analytics, modeling, and data-driven decision frameworks (Python a plus)
