Job Summary

Vice President, Investment Operations at ICG in London leads the operational duties for mezzanine, senior debt, and real assets investments. The role focuses on accurately capturing commercial terms in ICG’s Investment Book of Records (IBOR) and contributing to the consolidation of systems, including transitioning to the Efront platform. You will collaborate with a colleague with similar responsibilities and coordinate with various support functions, internal investment teams, and external service providers. Primary responsibilities include ensuring private investment transactions (loans, real assets, private credit, private equity) are captured accurately, inputting deals in V3 and shadow records (WSO) as the system migrates to Efront, liaising with internal/external parties to respond to queries, managing lifecycle events (rollovers, rate fixes, repayments, investor transfers), coordinating with Third Party Administrators and Loan Agents, performing monthly reconciliations of bookings vs cash ledgers, and driving end-to-end process improvement. The role also covers supporting the launch of new products and operating model design, representing Investment Operations in meetings, collaborating with IT on software implementations, and designing new processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have strong operations and loan-management experience, solid communication and stakeholder-management skills, and a track record of process redesign and independent work, with exposure to relevant systems and analytics tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience in an operations role / loan support function in Financial Services/Investment Management, preferably in a buy side investment firm
  • Experience with loan documentation for primary loans and related equity instruments (Warrants, equity for real assets and infrastructure)
  • Self-starter with the ability to think strategically and proven experience of building a team
  • Previously changed and redesigned processes. Documented formal procedure notes
  • Experience interfacing with external administrators and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate booking of deals
  • Excellent communication skills and strong customer service ethic
  • Work with a minimum amount of day-to-day oversight
  • Desirable: Exposure to systems for loan management (e.g. WSO, Debtdomain) and investment book of records (e.g. eFront)
  • Good Excel & PowerPoint skills as well as Report writing experience
  • Embraces and encourages change and development
  • Experience of metrics/Key Performance Indicator reporting
  • Enjoys being a part of a team but is able to work independently
