Job Summary
Vice President, International Distribution & Business Development leads strategic direction for Distribution and BD across CNBC International to maximize monetization and revenue growth in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Responsibilities include developing and executing distribution and BD strategies with CNBC and Versant leadership, expanding business in new countries and territories, building senior-level affiliate relationships, negotiating and governing distribution deals, managing third-party distributors, and providing leadership to Distribution and BD teams while driving cross-functional collaboration and viewer/partner growth.
Required Qualifications
- Deep expertise in affiliate sales, content distribution, and carriage negotiations across linear, streaming, and digital platforms.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate complex deal structures, distribution economics, and revenue growth opportunities in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
- Comprehensive understanding of the evolving media landscape, including B2B partnerships, content Syndication, Pay TV, MVPDs, FAST Channels, AVOD, SVOD, and DTC business models and familiarity with the technical solutions in each case (i.e. satellite delivery, FAST ad tech, and DTC integration and billing options).
- Demonstrated understanding of OOH distribution, including hospitality, travel, and commercial-location partnerships, and the ability to identify and monetise new audience reach opportunities.
