Job Summary
Lead the IT department through a team of Directors, Managers, and Project Managers while defining and executing an enterprise-wide technology vision aligned with business priorities. Develop and manage multi-year investment plans, application lifecycle strategies, and cost-effective technology solutions to accelerate growth and strengthen operational excellence. Oversee application portfolio modernization, rationalize legacy systems, and integrate emerging AI technologies to drive digital transformation and secure competitive differentiation. Ensure robust cybersecurity safeguards, risk management practices, and IT General Controls are in place to support scalable AI adoption and global security standards. Manage IT budgets, vendor selection, and strategic partnerships while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and innovation across diverse stakeholder groups.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles
- 3+ years at a senior or executive level
- Extensive experience in IT leadership roles
- Experience in processes and controls that are typical of public companies and professional services providers
- Experience in strategic planning and execution of transformative IT projects that achieve business goals
- Experience supporting technology modernization, platform consolidation, and portfolio rationalization initiatives
- Knowledge of application development processes, methodologies and controls
- Knowledge of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and IT General Controls (ITGC) typical of a Small/Medium Enterprise
- Understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and implementation
- Knowledgeable about IT infrastructure, end-user support structures, and organizations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse IT team
- Experience leading teams using agile, product-led, IT service management, and project delivery methodologies
- Excellent enterprise project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships with key players and stakeholders across the organization
- Ability to develop and implement a strategic vision for IT that incorporates applications and AI to drive business success
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- A master's degree in business administration (MBA) or a related field with a focus on technology management or equivalent employment experience
