Job Summary

Lead HR strategy and oversee compensation, benefits, payroll, talent acquisition, learning and development, engagement, and internal communications; manage HR team; ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA and applicable labor laws); drive organizational culture and employee engagement; oversee annual HR budgeting; lead onboarding, performance management, and leadership development; support mergers and acquisitions integration; travel as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Organizational Communication, I-O Psychology, a related field, or substantial years of experience in this field
  • 5 years of experience building, leading and inspiring a HR team and/or sub-function(s)
  • Functional expertise across all HR disciplines
  • Passion for and demonstrated experience integrating proven HR strategies with an organization's core mission
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to problem solve strategically
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Builds and develops internal and external relationships
  • Develops others to become more effective through strengths, expectations, and coaching
  • Embraces change and sets goals that align with the company's vision
  • Encourages and inspires others through positivity, vision, confidence, challenges, and recognition
  • Able to gather and evaluate information that leads to smart decisions
  • Provide clear communication and share information regularly and concisely
  • Hold themselves and their team accountable for their performance
  • Must possess the ability to unify M&A organizations and lead change management related to such in the space of Human Relations

  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of current regulations, laws, best practices, and new developments by participating in professional conferences and educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Master's degree in related field (preferred)
  • Experience leading HR services in a non-profit healthcare organization (preferred)
  • Experience leading HR services in a partially unionized environment providing guidance on collective bargaining agreement administration, employee relations, and labor-management collaboration and negotiations (preferred)
  • Reasonable travel requirements: up to 15-20% travel and overnight stays

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Organizational Communication, I-O Psychology, or related field; substantial years of experience leading HR teams; strong analytical and communication skills; experience across HR disciplines; change management; M&A integration experience (preferred)
  • Master's degree (preferred) in related field (not required)
  • Experience leading HR services in nonprofit healthcare (preferred)
  • Experience with labor unions and collective bargaining administration (preferred)
