Job Summary
VP, Global Financial Markets Operations oversees operational support for GFM products including FX, fixed income, derivatives, and structured deposits, with responsibility for trade control functions in Hong Kong, regulatory reporting, accounting reconciliation, risk and control reporting, and end-to-end process improvements. The role coordinates among clients, Regional Processing Centre, and GFM units to resolve issues, enhances productivity through workflow improvements, and prepares regulator reports for submission to the Hong Kong Trade Repository. The candidate will manage a team, work with regional centers on service quality and system initiatives, and contribute to regulatory submissions. Requires 10+ years in treasury/operations with at least 5 years in supervision, university graduate, deep knowledge of regulatory reporting and HK markets, SWIFT, HKMA/SFC regulations, and experience with or knowledge of Murex is advantageous; strong Excel skills, analytical mindset, customer focus, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- University graduate
- More than 10 years of work experience in treasury or relevant operations, including at least 5 years in a supervisory position.
- In-depth knowledge on regulatory reporting and experience of the treasury business and the end-to-end processes of the operational support.
- Knowledge of Treasury and Markets business and products
- Knowledge of SWIFT payments, relevant HKMA/SFC regulations and market practices
- Proficiency in the use of Excel (but VBA is not required)
- Knowledge on Murex is an advantage
- Analytical and attention to details with good problem-solving skills
- Fast learner with strong self-motivation and is flexible to change
- Customer-oriented and able to manage tasks under pressure
- Familiar with PC applications, technology and have a data-driven mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
