Vice President, Global Controller

Executive-level accounting leader responsible for building and leading an SEC-ready accounting organization at Justworks, championing and executing accounting initiatives, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC disclosures. The role oversees the consolidation and financial reporting, tax, and financial systems functions, partnering with the CFO and Audit Committee to communicate critical accounting matters, develop a formal control framework in line with SOX 404, and drive process improvements. Responsibilities include staffing and leveling for Controller’s Group, Financial Reporting, Tax, and Financial Systems; close coordination with Internal Audit; preparation of executive summaries and quarterly updates; and leadership across cross-functional teams to uphold accuracy, transparency, and timely reporting in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing accounting organization, oversee SEC-readiness for a potential public offering, and ensure the company’s internal and external reports reflect Justworks’ story in compliance with SEC regulations.
