Job Summary
VP-level full-stack engineering role focused on end-to-end software development for financial services applications. Responsibilities include coordinating technical design, development and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform systems; ensuring performance, security and quality through SDLC processes; participating in BRD/SRD activities; developing reusable components and REST endpoints; conducting code reviews; troubleshooting, upgrading and maintaining systems; leveraging Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and UI/UX tooling (Figma) to deliver user-friendly interfaces; collaborating with data engineers, project managers and other engineers to deliver elegant solutions; and maintaining documentation and technical debt management. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the New York worksite. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related experience, with expertise in REST APIs, Angular, Oracle SOA, database design and performance tuning, and adherence to security/privacy standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of progressively responsible IT/software development experience in financial services
- Experience developing reusable components and services that interact end-to-end with backend systems via REST APIs
- Proficiency with Angular, TypeScript, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Angular Material, and RxJS
- Experience with Module Federated Micro Frontends and Webpack
- Experience with SOA/OSB/BPM/BRE and Oracle SOA suite; BPM workflows and Oracle IAM integration
- Experience designing Oracle database schemas and optimizing queries
- Experience developing RESTful endpoints and performance tuning
- Experience with UI/UX design principles, Figma, and responsive interfaces
- Strong software development lifecycle knowledge and code review practices
- Ability to collaborate with data engineers, PMs, and other engineers
- Security and privacy principles knowledge
- Strong debugging, testing, and documentation skills
- Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite
