Vice President, Fleet Operations

Job Summary

Own the P&L for PAR's equipment fleet, including capital planning, utilization, and disposition decisions across all operating divisions. Lead the annual business plan forecast and budget presentation for fleet and equipment spend to executive leadership. Drive equipment billing recovery by closing the gap between bid-hour assumptions and actual field equipment hours, targeting multiple millions of dollars in annual recovered margin. Conduct ongoing governance reviews of equipment rentals across all active jobsites, monitoring overstays, unauthorized rentals, budget-proximity alerts, idle equipment, and spending spikes. Oversee equipment procurement cycles in coordination with Operations and Finance. Manage the Director of Fleet Operations and regional fleet leaders; build organizational depth and bench strength across the fleet function. Lead succession planning and high-potential talent development for the fleet organization. Own fleet workforce/manpower forecasting in partnership with regional leadership and HR. Participate in PAR's bi-weekly corporate leadership calls, reporting fleet subgoal progress against enterprise Marginal Excellence and operational-improvement charters. Represent fleet priorities in the Executive Focus & Priorities process and other executive leadership initiatives. Partner with Safety on storm-response readiness and fleet-related safety policy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, construction management, engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in fleet, equipment, or asset management
  • Experience within electrical utility, line construction, heavy civil, or related infrastructure contracting
  • Demonstrated ownership of a large, multi-region equipment fleet P&L
  • Experience with fleet/equipment and work-order systems such as HCSS and E360, or comparable platforms
  • Strong financial acumen - budgeting, forecasting, margin recovery, and vendor/contract negotiation
  • Proven people-leadership experience, including managing managers and building succession pipelines
  • Executive-level communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel regularly across PAR's operating regions, including to storm-response locations as needed
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
