Job Summary
VP/Executive Director for M&A Investment Banking in Sydney leading origination and execution of transactions. Responsibilities include developing client meeting content for M&A deals, driving origination and execution, leading valuation analyses (DCF, comps, LBOs), overseeing financial analyses in pitch contexts, mentoring Associates and Analysts, and participating in graduate recruiting to shape the Sydney M&A franchise.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a front office investment banking role with a focus on M&A
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Deep understanding of the transaction cycle and execution process
- Proven ability to work independently and self-directed
- Impeccable communication skills with senior stakeholders and clients
- Demonstrated commercial judgement and strategic thinking
- Track record of driving origination and successful execution of transactions
- Leadership experience with ability to mentor and develop junior team members
- Experience in graduate recruiting and talent development initiatives
