Job Summary
Lead high-priority strategic projects by framing issues, building workplans, conducting complex analysis, and crystallizing recommendations for the CEO, Management Committee, and senior executives. Develop strategy presentations and memos for the C suite and Board of Directors, while generating new growth ideas grounded in market dynamics and competitive context. Refine corporate strategy periodically to reflect material trends and assess organic and inorganic opportunities based on strategic priorities. Partner closely with business leaders to design and advance their strategies, coach junior team members, and maintain business landscape knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in strategy consulting or strategy roles within payments, financial services, or adjacent industries
- Strong understanding of Mastercard's products, services, and key revenue drivers, as well as the broader payment industry
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, enterprise-level initiatives end-to-end, effectively driving forward project plans in global, matrixed organizations
- Excellent presentation and writing skills, with the ability to independently develop high-quality executive-level outputs
- Ability to challenge established views and assumptions at all levels and facilitate/lead discussions & debates
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible
- Executive presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior management and business partners
- Abide by Mastercard's security policies and practices
- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed
- Report any suspected information security violation or breach
- Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelines
