Job Summary
Provide operational oversight for the Early Education and Care Program, ensuring daily compliance with Head Start mandates and strategic positioning for the future. Lead the creation and management of the program while coordinating technical support to the Policy Council and serving as an executive mentor for training and committee processes. Direct the implementation of major plans, standards, and procedures, and guide decision-making on budgets, goals, and policies. Analyze survey data and regulatory information to forecast enrollment and curriculum changes, while developing communication systems that disseminate information to the President, Board, and parents. Monitor overall program operations, evaluate subordinate performance, and prepare grant proposals to solicit funding.
Required Qualifications
- related Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Business, social science, or education
- minimum of ten (10) years of executive management experience
- budgeting
- compliance oversight
- strategic planning
- risk management
- project management
- Senior level management experience with a Head Start environment
- ability to supervise staff at multiple locations
- knowledge of budget and fiscal management
- excellent communications skills
- ability to compose and deliver effective presentations
- ability to establish working relationships within the community
- knowledge of strategic planning
- knowledge of fundamentals of change management
- valid state of Georgia Driver's license
