Job Summary
Oversee the BMO Capital Markets Power, Utilities & Infrastructure portfolio across Canada and the United States, serving as a key partner to corporate, institutional, and government clients. Provide treasury product solutions, deal structuring expertise, and strategic advice to manage cash flow, optimize investments, and navigate complex transactions. Cultivate relationships with new and existing clients while driving cross-selling initiatives and expanding wallet share through tailored financial and technical solutions. Act as a daily escalation resource and subject matter expert on regulations, interpreting client strategies to deliver creative solutions and ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders. Monitor performance against benchmarks, analyze data to inform business decisions, and lead the execution of strategic initiatives to optimize revenue and reduce costs. Negotiate terms with clients and internal counterparts while proactively managing risk, compliance, and internal controls to protect assets and adhere to approved risk appetites. This hybrid role requires a minimum of four days per week in the New York or Chicago office. Candidates must have 7+ years of relevant experience and demonstrate expert-level market knowledge, analytical skills, and influence capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Deal execution and/or project management skills
- Market and product knowledge to enable the comprehensive servicing of clients and the effective development of new solutions
- Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge
