Job Summary
Vibrant, executive-healthcare technology leadership role overseeing Halton Healthcare’s digital health strategy and information systems. Leads cybersecurity, help desk, telecommunications, IT applications, networking and infrastructure, informatics, biomed, health records, coding, and registration/admitting for emergency departments; responsible for enterprise digital transformation, including implementation and optimization of a new hospital information system, interoperability and data-driven care, and the analytics ecosystem to support real-time decision-making. Requires strong executive-level collaboration with clinicians, staff, the Board, and provincial partners; managing a multi-million dollar operating budget and a team of ~200 with 3 Directors and 10 Managers; focus on privacy, security, clinical and operational outcomes, and patient/provider experience. Based in Oakville with travel to Milton/Georgetown as needed; hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Executive leadership experience in healthcare IT
- Proven ability to lead digital transformation in healthcare
- Experience with electronic health record systems from implementation to optimization
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement with clinicians, staff, executives, and boards
- Budget management and large-portfolio leadership (e.g., $35M+)
- Cybersecurity, privacy, and system reliability leadership
- Interoperable systems and data-driven care
- Ability to translate strategy into measurable impact
- Experience working with Ontario Health ecosystem and hospital networks
