Vice President, Design & Construction

Vice President, Design & Construction leads the full lifecycle of Life Plan Community development projects with budgets exceeding $400 million, from early conceptual visioning to close-out. Responsible for coordinating project scope, design direction, budget strategy, and schedule with Headquarters to ensure elevated design standards aligned with wellness and belonging. Oversees procurement and contract negotiations with architects, engineers, interior designers, and specialty consultants; ensures budgets for design, construction, FF&E, and related soft costs meet or exceed expectations. Provides leadership in QA process improvement, supports contract negotiations, and maintains strong external and internal collaboration. Requires meaningful travel to project sites and partner locations to support collaboration, onsite leadership, and seamless execution through all phases, from entitlements to closeout. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required; 15+ years in building design and construction on large-scale projects is preferred. Master’s degree and relevant advanced qualifications are listed as preferred. Salary range is $215,000–$250,000 USD, with benefits and bonus eligibility.
