Vice President, Deputy Fund Manager

Job Summary

Conduct strategic portfolio management by evaluating market risks and opportunities, developing long-term business plans, and monitoring performance against budgets and Key Performance Indicators. Oversee due diligence, financial modeling, and underwriting for property acquisitions, divestments, and credit facilities while supporting investor relations, client reviews, and RFPs. Collaborate with research teams, legal, compliance, and finance groups to drive outperformance and risk-aware investment decisions for the flagship Fiera Real Estate CORE Fund. Requires financial acumen, experience with real estate investment trusts or management firms, and strong presentation skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Financial and property performance acumen
  • Cash-flow analysis
  • Valuation techniques
  • Deep understanding of NOI, Cap Rates and IRR
  • Ability to review and critique complex financial models (using Excel and Argus)
  • Working knowledge across a variety of real estate asset types, products and strategies
  • Understanding of income producing, value-add and development asset profiles
  • Well respected within the real estate community and investment management industry
  • Capacity to develop meaningful relationships with institutional investors, consultants, partners, and market participants
  • Solid broker and industry relationships nationally
  • Experience with a real estate investment manager, real estate investment trust, a consulting firm, investment bank or possibly an LP
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Self-motivated in sourcing and structuring capital to sustain company growth
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented approach
  • Collaborative approach to client development and management
  • Ability to be resourceful

  • Bachelor's degree in real estate/planning, economics, business or a related/equivalent field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written
  • Working English proficiency
