Job Summary
Oversee the CTO Operations transformation and execution at HP, shaping the operating model and stakeholder engagement to translate business strategy into technology and engineering deliverables. Lead a central team of Chiefs of Staff and a high-performing operations organization, drive transformation planning, OKRs, analytics, and reporting, and manage cross-functional technical program management and executive communications. Partner with the CTO, software organization, and other senior leaders to accelerate execution, improve engineering productivity, and deliver scalable, software-led growth. Located in Palo Alto, CA; Vancouver, WA; or Spring, TX, with on-site responsibilities at respective offices; travel not specified.
Required Qualifications
- Current or prior experience operating at the VP level in strategy, operations, or related areas within an established technology company
- 15+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or related areas
- 8+ years leading organizations through senior leadership roles
- Proven success building and leading high-performing teams that drive strategic, operational, and execution capabilities within large, complex product or engineering environments
- Experience driving strategy and/or operations within engineering organizations delivering products used by millions of customers and/or large-scale commercial businesses generating more than $100 million in annual revenue
- Strong track record of improving operational efficiency and engineering effectiveness through strategic thinking and disciplined execution
- Experience leading or scaling functions such as transformation, chief of staff, technical program management, and/or communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical and operational topics clearly to executive audiences
- Strong collaboration and leadership presence, with a reputation for building trust, attracting top talent, and developing diverse, high-performing teams
