Vice President, Creative Design and Brand Storytelling

Job Summary
Establish the graphic design vision for the Pottery Barn brand across all customer touchpoints, overseeing teams for brand, graphic, site, catalog, packaging, and social design. Lead seasonal creative concepts and campaign systems that unify marketing from early ideation through final execution, partnering with the Vice President of Photography to build integrated visual narratives. Serve as the steward of the visual identity, developing scalable design systems and evolving brand guidelines to ensure consistency across digital, print, retail, and packaging. Guide editorial storytelling and copy direction, ensuring all headlines and product narratives reflect the brand voice while balancing creative excellence with business objectives and timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive creative leadership experience within retail, lifestyle, home furnishings or agency environments
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams including graphic design and copywriting
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating world-class brand building across multiple channels
- Strong understanding of omnichannel customer experiences across print, digital, retail and packaging
- Expertise in typography, editorial design, brand identity systems and visual storytelling
- Demonstrated ability to build iconic brands through thoughtful design and compelling narrative
- Outstanding leadership, communication and presentation skills
- Experience collaborating with photography, marketing and product organizations
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Keynote, Airtable and emerging creative technologies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
