Job Summary
Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategic Partnerships at Chase leads evaluation, negotiation, and execution of inorganic opportunities for Chase’s Consumer Bank and Wealth Management. Responsible for developing the book of work, leading due diligence, and making recommendations; leading presentations to senior executives; managing partnerships with external companies; coordinating with finance and legal to develop business cases and deal terms; monitoring the external environment for strategic opportunities; ensuring deals align with firmwide policies and controls; and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Requires 6+ years in Corporate Development/Strategy/Management Consulting, strong analytical and communication skills, experience managing teams, and a background in FinTech/WealthTech; Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years' professional experience focused within Corporate Development, Management Consulting and/or Strategy roles
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross functional environment
- Proven track record of leading large strategic programs
- Ability to lead and own the end-to-end process to execute strategic partnerships and deals, including negotiation, business casing, and senior level presentations
- Experience in managing and leading small teams
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, with strong project management ability
- Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience and comfort presenting to senior management
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
- MBA degree preferred
- Prior experience working with FinTechs or WealthTechs
- Familiarity with the venture and fundraising ecosystem
- Prior experience in Wealth Management and/or Consumer Banking, especially in operational, strategy, or business development roles
