Job Summary
The Vice President, Consultant Relations is responsible for developing and managing relationships with investment consultants primarily in the Eastern US. Key responsibilities include collaborating with a consultant relations team, building relationships across consultant tiers, achieving high recommendations and ratings, promoting investment strategies, and developing business plans. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years of relevant experience, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to influence and engage with various stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
- 10+ years of related institutional asset management experience with direct experience in covering investment consultants
- Proven track record of success in actively marketing the institutional consultant community to drive new strategy approvals and assets
- Willingness and able to travel
- Ability to translate complex investment concepts for consultant audiences
- Excellent relationship management & communication skills
- Highly collaborative with the ability to influence across investment and other internal teams
- Able to prioritize and multi-task in deadline driven environment
- Deep understanding of the institutional asset management business
Desired Qualifications
- Series 7 and Series 63 licenses preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- CFA, CAIA or other professional qualifications preferred
- Strong knowledge of consultant research and ratings processes
- Knowledge of broader investment market, with preference to real estate and real assets
