Job Summary
Provide strategic guidance and technical leadership support to North America Aggregates and Asphalt businesses, implementing continuous improvement and best practice sharing cultures. Establish performance metrics to evaluate operations and drive cost reduction, while coordinating training for production, safety, and supervisory management. Liaise with global technical centers to promote initiatives, ensure leading practices are scaled across the organization, and collaborate on merger, acquisition, and joint venture execution. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance performance and reduce costs, supporting the evaluation of strategic investments through due diligence leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant discipline
- A minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in building materials with a track record of business development and operations success
- Broad knowledge of the business combined with a solid technical background in operations
- Significant resource development experience including property exploration, land acquisition, and permitting of resources, as well as divestiture and reclamation
- Demonstrated experience in managing environmental programs with a working knowledge of applicable environmental laws and regulations
- Strong stakeholder management, influence, and negotiation skills
- Professional competence with strong industry knowledge and understanding of the Aggregates market and products
- Innate continuous improvement mindset, process methodology skills, and impressive change management capability
- Commitment to sustainable management, championing safety and complying with anti-trust, safety, and environmental laws and regulations
- Entrepreneurial management skills, excellent financial acumen, and the demonstrated ability to consider long-term risks and opportunities
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Travel within the U.S. and Canada required to support business objectives and stakeholder engagement
