Job Summary

Liaise with the Los Angeles City Tourism Department and County officials to develop communications strategies and implement the Tourism Master Plan. Partner with external organizations including chambers of commerce and industry associations to lead a comprehensive visitor experience strategy. Oversee sustainability initiatives aligned with UN SDGs, develop educational programming, and advise leadership on community sentiment and reputational risk. Manage the Community Advisory Board to ensure work addresses the needs of historically underserved Angelenos. Serve as an external spokesperson for UN SDG efforts and monitor proposed legislation affecting the tourism sector. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a current background check. Proficient in MS Office with strong communication skills. Bachelor's degree preferred. Los Angeles Tourism, a non-profit promoting the City of Angels, operates globally with offices in London, Mumbai, and beyond. The role supports initiatives like Dine LA and prepares for the 2028 Summer Paralympic Games.

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle for work-related travel
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing to partake in a comprehensive background check, including a drug test
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Dependable, great attitude, highly motivated and a team player
  • Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various departments
  • Ability to work in a changing environment
  • Must be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment
