Job Summary
Lead the Commercial Data and AI portfolio by setting strategy for data, data science, and AI programs spanning launch excellence, sales, marketing, medical affairs, and market access. Direct a team of 80+ professionals while managing investment decisions across the buy/borrow/build continuum to deliver measurable value at scale. Advance high-value use cases ranging from predictive to agentic AI, establishing scalable delivery patterns for GenAI and agentic systems including retrieval-augmented generation and LLMOps. Champion responsible AI by embedding governance, security, and compliance-by-design into workflows, partnering with Legal, Privacy, and Security to shape review processes. Build and develop a high-performing, AI-first organization through hiring, coaching, and talent development to drive adoption and improve patient outcomes. This role reports to the VP, Head of Technology for IM NA Commercial & GCSO within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Technology. The position requires a hybrid schedule of three days on-site and two days remote, with the primary location in Titusville, NJ, and up to 10% domestic and international travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 15+ years of progressive experience delivering data, analytics, and AI solutions at scale
- 10+ years leading and scaling high-performing, multidisciplinary technical organizations
- Deep understanding of modern machine learning and large language models
- Ability to set architecture and delivery direction across data, modeling, software engineering, and cloud platforms
- Demonstrated success taking GenAI and agentic solutions to production
- Proven ability to prioritize a portfolio, manage investment across the product lifecycle, and drive adoption and value realization
- Strong command of data standards, privacy regulations, and governance expectations in regulated environments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
