Job Summary
Lead clinical operations management and regulatory compliance for all clinical areas, overseeing organ and tissue procurement policies, donor care, and surgical recovery unit operations. Serve as staff chair for the Critical Care Committee and Transplantation Community of Practice Committee while managing direct oversight of all MTN personnel involved in recovery activities. Cultivate relationships with transplant surgeons, physicians, and local centers to drive donation improvements and ensure adherence to FDA, CMS, and OPTN standards. Monitor quality improvement strategies, manage the annual clinical budget, and implement organizational policy decisions. Requires CPTC certification, ten years of healthcare leadership experience, and ability to work nights, weekends, and travel frequently.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
- Minimum ten years experience in Administration/Healthcare leadership
- Experience with a comparable sized OPO or healthcare organization
- CPTC certification
- Ability to obtain CPTC certification within two years
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal automobile transportation
- Ability to travel within the service area by ground or air
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including some nights and weekends for meetings
- Ability to lift 10 pounds and transfer short distances
- Ability to operate telephones, computers and office equipment
- Ability to speak and communicate clearly in order to accurately convey information in person or by phone
- OSHA Category II – Occasional exposure to bloodborne pathogens
- Bloodborne pathogens protection
