Job Summary

Lead coverage of U.S.-based institutional investors focused on Canadian equities, promoting BMO’s Canadian equity research and corporate access offerings. Drive revenue by identifying opportunities across high-touch trading, electronic trading, program trading, and monetizing research content; collaborate with Research, Trading, Corporate Access, ECM, and Investment Banking to deliver a coordinated Canadian franchise; conduct research calls, investor meetings, and non-deal roadshows; build and manage a targeted client plan to grow wallet share and market share with U.S. accounts; provide market color and investor sentiment to internal partners; maintain knowledge of Canadian equity market structure, sector trends, and cross-border themes; represent the firm professionally with clients and comply with regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

  • FINRA registrations as required, or willingness to obtain required licenses
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
  • post-secondary degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong institutional equity sales experience, ideally with a focus on Canadian equities and U.S.-based investors
  • Established relationships with U.S. institutional clients that invest in Canadian equities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Strong collaboration skills across Research, Trading, Sales Trading, Corporate Access, ECM, Investment Banking, and Compliance
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on revenue generation and client monetization
  • Knowledge of Canadian equity market structure, sector dynamics, regulatory developments, and cross-border investment themes
  • Ability to develop and execute a targeted client coverage plan and drive revenue opportunities
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Compliance with highest standards of conduct and risk management
