Vice President, Business Services M&A

Job Summary

Conceptualize and deliver new business presentations while contributing to transaction process planning and deal structuring conversations. Produce complex integrated financial models, review due diligence reports, and prepare term sheets. Manage Analysts and Associates to ensure timelines and quality, acting as the key client point of contact for day-to-day queries and deal issues. Train and develop Associates and Analysts, while leading project work and collaborating on marketing efforts to grow the firm's franchise value. This role requires extensive mid-market M&A experience, strong financial modeling skills, and fluency in Spanish and English. Located in Madrid with hybrid work options, the position offers a steep learning curve within a flat hierarchy and entrepreneurial culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive track record of executing Business Services M&A transactions, preferably in the mid-market, with ideally 7-10 years' experience
  • Experience and demonstrated ability in seeking and identifying new business opportunities in concert with Managing Directors
  • Ability to confidently and credibly connect with potential new clients and to lead client meetings
  • Excellent finance, accounting and financial modeling skills, coupled with pronounced business acumen and the ability to form clear commercial views
  • Experience in successfully managing teams of Associates and Analysts; and leading project work
  • An exceptional, well rounded academic background, ideally educated to Masters level in a business related subject
  • Great analytical skills and attention to detail, along with a willingness to develop and learn
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a commitment to personal and team growth, underpinned through professional and academic excellence as well as other pursuits and personal projects
  • Adaptability, dependability and the ability to manage a dynamic workload
  • Clear and engaging communication skills - verbally as well as written. Ability to relate and connect to other stakeholders quickly- clients, management teams and LI colleagues
  • Collaborative style and a personally engaging manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • International experiences and perspectives
  • Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English skills
  • Must be available to work in our offices Monday through Thursday each week, with the option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays
  • Must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future
