Job Summary

Vice President, Business Development at Highwire that leads and scales the agency’s new business function. Own the full new business lifecycle from qualification to close, manage a strong qualified pipeline, and partner with marketing and leadership to drive inbound and outbound growth. Lead prospecting and client engagement, build relationships with senior marketing and communications leaders, and oversee consultative conversations to uncover client needs. Lead pitches and win new business, orchestrate cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals, and coach teams for high-stakes presentations. Build scalable systems by creating playbooks, templates, and frameworks to improve win rates and forecasting, and use data to refine performance. Mentor BD talent, align cross-functional teams around growth opportunities, and share market insights. U.S.-based candidates across the country are encouraged to apply; the role supports a flexible hybrid or remote work model depending on location, with specific hybrid options for New York, NY and San Francisco, CA offices, and fully remote opportunities in multiple states. Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in business development and client leadership with a communications, marketing, advertising or public relations agency
  • Proven success leading complex, multi-stakeholder pitches and winning new business
  • Strong storytelling, pitching, and proposal development skills
  • Executive presence with experience engaging senior-level procurement leaders and decision-makers
  • Solid understanding of agency economics and pipeline management
  • Ability to build systems and processes that scale growth
  • U.S.-based, open to candidates anywhere in the U.S.
