Vice President, B2B Marketing Practice

Job Summary

Lead the planning and execution of key B2B events and member experiences, including members-only conferences, Masters Academies, and executive working sessions. Own assigned events end-to-end by coordinating agendas, venues, speakers, and logistics while serving as a senior lead on-site to manage real-time changes. Translate insights from member discussions and research into actionable resources such as playbooks, frameworks, and case studies. Partner with the Senior Vice President to establish annual goals, distribute responsibility across the B2B portfolio, and provide strategic oversight to committees. Develop trusted relationships with senior executives to deepen participation and ensure Council meetings produce clear outcomes. Represent the B2B Practice internally and externally while managing multiple complex programs simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7-10 years of experience in B2B marketing, marketing strategy, professional associations, executive education, conferences, content development, consulting, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of contemporary B2B marketing issues and the evolving role of marketing in driving business growth
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex events or programs from planning through execution
  • Experience working directly with senior marketing executives and external partners
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with a record of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience developing thought leadership, educational programming, frameworks, tools, or other content-based offerings
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members and working across functions

  • An experienced manager of conferences, executive events, or complex member/client programs
  • Comfortable owning an event from initial concept through on-site execution and post-event follow-through
  • A strong content thinker who can turn conversations and ideas into clear frameworks, programs, and useful member resources
  • Skilled at managing senior executives, speakers, partners, and multiple internal stakeholders
  • Able to prioritize and make sound decisions when several programs are moving simultaneously
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong in written and verbal executive communication
  • Pragmatic and hands-on, with a strong sense of personal ownership and follow-through
