Job Summary
Vice President Aviation – Relationship Manager / Financing Expert responsible for managing and expanding ING Wholesale Banking's existing client relationships across the EMEA region with a focus on airlines, leasing companies and aviation-related businesses. Tasks include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, coordinating cross-buy opportunities with Product and Coverage teams, and structuring/executing aircraft financing and other aviation sector transactions. You will assess clients’ creditworthiness and liquidity, analyze industry and transaction risks, incorporate risk, portfolio and sustainability considerations into the transaction process, and contribute to credit applications, committee papers and risk reporting. The role requires a proactive, commercially oriented mindset with ownership of a client portfolio and a long-term perspective for sustainable growth and responsible risk management. The position requires a degree in a related field, relevant senior relationship-management experience in corporate banking, knowledge of aviation finance or strong affinity for aviation, strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills, and fluency in English (German advantageous). Required Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
- Several years of experience in relationship management for large corporate clients within a banking environment
- Experience in aviation sector or strong affinity for Aviation Finance
- Solid understanding of credit processes, risk analysis and structured finance transactions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage
