Job Summary
Senior actuarial and product management leader responsible for pricing optimization, performance analytics, and product portfolio expansion. Own pricing strategy, profitability analysis, and model deployment in collaboration with Predictive Analytics; oversee rate and product filings; define product strategy and lifecycle management; analyze portfolio performance and claim trends to identify loss drivers and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial outcomes. Lead enterprise reporting, dashboards, and regulatory/compliance activities; liaise with underwriting, claims, finance, and distribution; ensure pricing and product design improvements align with company objectives and regulatory requirements; lead a team of 7 actuarial and product management staff located remotely and in Woodland Hills, CA, with on-site expectations and remote flexibility. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, FCAS/ACAS consideration, 10+ years actuarial experience in P&C insurance (workers’ comp preferred), 5+ years leadership, expertise in pricing strategy and optimization, and experience integrating predictive analytics into pricing and underwriting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or related field
- Fellow or Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS strongly preferred; ACAS considered with relevant experience)
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive actuarial experience in property & casualty insurance, with workers’ compensation experience strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of formal leadership experience, including prior experience leading or partnering closely with product management functions
- Demonstrated expertise in pricing strategy and optimization with exceptional ability to communicate and translate actuarial findings into practical business recommendations
- Experience integrating predictive analytics into pricing and underwriting strategies
- Strong product management orientation and comfort working across multiple functions
