Job Summary
Develop controls and interface logic for a new Guidance Product by creating prototypes based on embedded designs to enhance performance. Collaborate with engineers to validate technical feasibility while ensuring adherence to standards through rigorous reviews. Communicate design concepts and decisions to client stakeholders, staying current with industry trends to incorporate best practices into your work. This contract role requires 5-10 years of embedded and VHDL design experience, proficiency with Xilinx/Altera tools, and fluency in Python or C/C++. The position is hybrid, with periodic on-site requirements within a 100-mile radius of Huntsville.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of professional embedded and VHDL (some FPGA work) design experience working with controls and sensors
- Experience with development using Xylinx and/or Altera tools such as Vivado & Altium
- Fluency in one or more languages like Python & C/C++
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills
- Experience working with a remote team
- Demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills

- Bachelor's degree in BSEE, CS or MSEE preferred
