Job Summary

Prepare and deliver high-quality veterinary technology instruction using diverse teaching methodologies to support various learning styles. Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment while providing proactive academic advising, tutoring, and office hours to assist students with course material and career development. Regularly assess student learning outcomes and utilize data to contribute to program improvement processes, ensuring alignment with accreditation requirements. Collaborate with colleagues, participate in departmental meetings, and mentor new faculty members to foster continuous program growth. Ensure instructional materials and lab equipment comply with institutional standards and remain in good working condition.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree as a Veterinary Technician from an AVMA or CVMA accredited program
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA or CVMA accredited program
  • RVT
  • State Veterinarian License
  • DEA License
  • 2 years field experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret materials related to area of expertise
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders
  • Ability to perform basic calculations relevant to course material and student assessments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and any software required for course delivery
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
