Job Summary
Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery while safely handling and restraining animals with compassion. Perform technical duties including lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement, and maintain accurate medical records for medication dispensing. Communicate clearly with clients regarding care instructions and status updates, while keeping exam rooms and equipment clean and stocked. Adhere to hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times. As a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will work four 10-hour shifts per week with rotating Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines
