Job Summary
Provide skilled patient care under veterinarians, assist with exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery; safely restrain and handle animals with compassion; communicate clearly with clients about care instructions and status; perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement; maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing; keep exam rooms and treatment areas clean and stocked; follow hospital safety and regulatory guidelines at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines
